After two days in Helsinki we spent the rest of the week in a cottage without electricity and running water. We really enjoyed the contrast!

Right now we are very much into annual rings and to our delight the neighbors had cut down some forest, so we spent some time taking pictures and fighting the mosquitoes.

We just got home from a trip to Finland, the first stop was Helsinki, a really nice city.
We walked around in the design district and of course we noted some nice bicycles and numbersplates (and did some PR).  Maybe urbnCal 2012 Helsinki…

KONSTFACK Degree Exhibition 2010

We say goodbye to this years exhibition at Konstfack (University College of Arts, Crafts and Design) in Stockholm, but it is still possible to get a glimpse of it here.

One part we specially remember is Care for Cows, if we keep the cows indoors at least we can care. One other is Margot Sucksdorff Barolos work which is about “production” and its complexity. And finally Christian Brandt an his alphabet.

En inramad emalj-provkarta som hängt med länge nu, många av prickarna har fallit ner så vilket prov som visar “Motorcykelfärg” eller “Cinnoberrött” är svårt att avläsa, inte heller säkert att färgerna ser ut som de gjorde från början med tanke på att “Sjögrönt” och “Azurblått” är så snarlika. De exklusivaste färgerna är så klart “Ultramarin” och “Signalrött”, enligt prislistan hela 7kr kilot!

A framed enamel color map, it has been in our home for a long time now, many of the dots have fallen down, its not possible to se how “Motorbike color” or “Cinnober red” looks any more, and I guess that the color dots that still are in the right position don’t show the “right” color any more. The most exclusive colors on the map are obviously “Ultramarine” and “Signal red”, according to the price list as much as $1 per kilo! :)  But anyway jollygoodfellow likes it!

rock_arch_in_the_uttewalder_grund_by_caspar_david_friedrich1I lördags såg vi Caspar David Friedrich och samtida tolkningar av hans arbete  av bland andra Karin Mamma Andersson och Ann Böttcher. I dag såg vi Livsformer på Bonniers. Blev mycket natur i stan (passa oss ganska bra med tanke på snuva och kyla)  hade gärna rekommenderat dem båda men desvärre var det sista helgen på båda ställena.

Vi har varit över till västkusten på bokmässan, Akvarellmuseet och Resteröds trikåfabrik (där vi har kompletterat vårt lager av långkallingar)!

Gick förbi den här hemma på Åsen för några dagar sen, o vips brydde jag mig inte längre om att det regnade. Grannen/mannen bakom gitarren heter Nacho Tatjer.
