We have made a short film to tell some about how we do it – the jollygoodfellow process, some of our inspiration, preparations and the actual printing. Hope you like it!

Finland and Sweden have much in common but there are also big differences. Especially when it comes to war and peace. Finland is a young nation and we feel that the fighting spirit is still present. Another big difference is the SAUNA that is a part of the daily life in Finland but in Sweden it’s just something that is offered at the public swimming pool.
When we visit Finland it’s always summer, we are off grid more or less all the time and no one is in a hurry. So we can say that our picture of Finland is a bit romanticized. Maybe that’s why our prints based on photos taken over there have a special room in our hearts.
Anyway.
Today we want to say Happy Birthday Suomi Finland !
Or new blocks for all of us who still have some playfullness…
With the same cork cubes as we use for the Urban Cube Calendar we have made these blocks. They can be used as a 3×3 puzzle with just triangles and squares. You can have it as your own transformable sculpture, place some of them in a still-life with other favorites, let the kids try new ideas.
The blocks feel soft and warm when you grab them and if they fall to the ground, the noise will be soft as well.
You can find them in our webshop.
Let’s play!
We made a new catalog earlier this fall. Here are some of the pictures we shot for it. Hope you like them! And to see the full catalog, follow this link.

Last Sunday we took part in Hello Handmade, a nice market at the cultural center Kampnagel in Hamburg, Germany.
A fantastic place and many nice meetings. We really hope to see you next year
Hamburg and Hello Handmade : )
We have made some prints in cooperation with Marie-Louise Hellgren, Heartearth. They were shown at Tent London 2017.
This is the stool Lilla Snåland, made of leftovers from the classic chair Lilla Åland, together with our interpretation/screenprint on the wall.
Close up of the screenprint.
The triangels on the right is the raw material for Lilla Snåland (and the parts that are removed in the production of Lilla Åland).
The print will be available in the jollygoodshop soon, we are just wating for Marie-Louise to come and sign them first : )
As Marie-Louise have designed lots of nice tea cups during the years and showed her newest at Tent London we started to think about steam. We worked in two days trying to catch steam, it was difficult but fun. Finally we transformed it to a screenprint as well, this is Steam!
Here you can find a press relese about the exhibition Press release (pdf)
This is Sauna Vihta, our tribute to Finland who celebrate 100 years of independence.
For us Finland is sauna. Every summer when we are on our way to the cottage on the Finnish countryside we cross our fingers and hope that the sauna will be intact and ready for some fire. But it’s important to heat slow and during the waiting it’s good to make a sauna vihta!

This time we exhibited together with scandinaviaform at Formex. It was a very good choice since we could enjoy a little meadow, which felt so nice together with the prints.
